Up.

Up, up, up and away in a hot air balloon. Here is Sock Monkey inside the Land Pavilion in Epcot. This is the sky view of the Sunshine Season food court area. You have a variety of dining to choose from, like soups and sandwiches, noodles and stir-fries, to yummy baked goods. And if you're really in the mood for a treat, dine at the revolving Garden Grill for a little bit of character, that is Mickey and friends, like Chip 'n' Dale. I think someone may be full of hot air or is it just all fluff?

Nessie.

Guess who showed up amidst all that flood water, our friend the Loch Ness Monster. Alright, it didn't really appear during the storm, but here it is secured in Village Lake at the Downtown Disney Marketplace. Built from thousands of pieces of Lego, Sock Monkey took this photo as proof the mysterious creature existed. Is it really the Loch Ness Monster, or is it a dragon, or a sea serpent? You decide.

The night lights.

Sometimes we take for granted the simple things of everyday life, like electricity for turning on lights, and a good laugh to lighten up your day. After Hurricane/Tropical Storm Irene traveled up the East Coast this past weekend, Sock Monkey surely did experience these feelings. But on a brighter note, he was happy to get back to his blog and laugh about the events. Here he is during one of his many night time rendezvous in Magic Kingdom. Sock Monkey was chuckling it up at Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor in Tomorrowland. He especially enjoyed meeting the man that was going to buy churros for everyone!

Front row seats.

We're loaded and ready to set sail. This is Sock Monkey's first time on It's a Small World. Think he's going to fit in just fine. Happy sailing!!!

The road not taken.

A picturesque spot of Cindy's castle while the sun sets in the background, Sock Monkey revels in the tranquility of solitude. This photo is taken in a nook and cranny area where there's little foot traffic and a road less traveled through. Its a small pathway behind the castle, and behind both Snow White's Scary Adventures and The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. Sock Monkey is clearly enjoying his adventures in Walt Disney World.

Magnitude 5.8

In honor of today's East Coast 5.8 earthquake, which we felt, this is Sock Monkey among a little debris of brick and concrete. You'd think he was monkeying around and made this mess. He's found here inside the D Street store in Downtown Disney West Side. Thank goodness no one was seriously hurt in today's event, and we can say we lived through our first quake.

New primate in charge.

There's a new sheriff in town and his name is Sock Monkey. Here we are on the queue of Toy Story Mania in Disney's Hollywood Studios. Our wait on line was way worth it for this ride. As always, it's a monkey do!

Sharing is caring.

Here we are by the exit area of the Studio Backlot Tour in Disney's Hollywood Studios. What was supposed to be nap time turned into playtime for these two young ladies. Sock Monkey was thrilled to share the love with the youngest family members. It was just too cute!

Time to Goof off.

It's been a pretty hot summer this year and I can't think of a better way to cool off than inside Goofy's Candy Co with a Goofy Glacier (aka slushy) in Downtown Disney Marketplace. Sock Monkey sampled a little of everything. Of course banana was his favorite flavor!

Come together.

Sock Monkey was crazy and livin' on the edge when he took this picture. He asked Lotso to walk this way to see something amazing. Lotso said he had a monkey on his back and thought dude looks like a lady. Sock Monkey thought he saw an angel. Lotso said dream on. Some cryin' jaded the moment, but Lotso in the end said I don't want to miss a thing with my new friend. Sweet emotions were running because Sock Monkey has what it takes to pose with Lotso. This was a bigger risk than becoming toys in the attic. - Sock Monkey and Lotso by the Rock 'n' Roll Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith at Disney's Hollywood Studios.

"In the jungle, the mighty jungle..."

"The lion sleeps tonight. In the jungle, the quiet jungle, the 'monkey' sleeps tonight." Sock Monkey felt like he was in the wild hanging around the trees and greens. This pic was taken in the outside lounge area of Bongos Cuban Cafe in Downtown Disney West Side. Sock Monkey says "Roar!"

Shades of blue, mauve, and magenta.

Where is Sock Monkey? He's by a giant sized floral mural, inside one of the larger dining establishment in Epcot, and rain or shine there's a generous collection of umbrellas always at the ready for you. It's the Electric Umbrella restaurant where we stopped in for a quick bite. Here at the back of the building, Sock Monkey once again dove into a bed of flowers, though these were fake and smelled like cheeseburgers :-D

Your Legacy.

The Leave a Legacy program, which started in the Fall of 1999, has since been discontinued as of June 2007. It's the tiles of etched images on stone which you see at the entrance of Epcot. One of our many traditions is to search for our tiles when we first get into the park. It reminds us of the past and how life has changed since those many years ago. Sock Monkey is trying to become a legend of his own. He is pictured here by my husband and father-in-law's Leave a Legacy tile. What will your legacy be?

Crocadill-e.

Did you ever think you'd see a dangerous animal at Disney World, and not at Animal Kingdom either, but at the Land Pavilion in Epcot. Well, here we are with some crocodiles. Okay, they're alligators, (shorter snout and more U-shaped snout), but all in all carnivores. Sock Monkey made it through alive. The alligators are a part of the Aquacell, an experimental aqua environment along with the more friendly water animal, fish.

The dawn of monkey.

Since the dawn of man, evolution and progress has been the drive of mankind, evolving and advancing skills from prehistoric drawings to capabilities of satellite images of Earth projected from space. Spaceship Earth brings us on this journey through time and changes. This is the beginning of Sock Monkey's adventure on Spaceship Earth in Epcot. He's ready to take his place in history.

Postmark.

Sock Monkey stamped himself with postage to be mailed to Mickey's house in Disneyland. Since Mickey's Toontown Fair in Disney World (Mickey's summer home) is closed, Sock Monkey thought it'd be a great idea to get shipped quickest to the Mouse in a mail box on Main St, USA.

Almost there.

By now if you get a chance to look back at some of the other "It's a Small World" photos, you will see that we've been taking you along the entire queue. We're finally almost there and are next to load. Sock Monkey is sooooooo excited!!! I know you're humming to the tune of the ride when you're looking at these photos, you just can't help it.

Cool. Hip. TrenDy.

Sock Monkey is so stylish, look at his outfit. He's been shopping at TrenD in Downtown Disney Marketplace. It's a chic and edgy boutique full of Disney fashion and decorations. This is an awesome view of the shop ceiling full of chandeliers and Mickey decor.

Bus stop 10 or 12.

Next stop, Disney's Contemporary Resort. After an adventurous morning in Disney's Hollywood Studios, Sock Monkey and company decided to go back to our "home away from home" and take a nap. Now if only that Trans/Ticket Center bus was going to our stop. The wait felt like forever. Thankfully only a few more minutes passed before our bus came. Time to catch some zzzzzz.
